Ohio State University offers an MS degree program in Industrial & Systems Engineering with a specialization in Occupational Safety and Ergonomics. Our graduates work in many different areas, including manufacturing & design (including consumer products, aerospace, transportation, heavy industry), research & testing, civil service, healthcare, and academia.
Learning experiences throughout our program include course work in occupational health & safety, ergonomics, cognitive engineering, biomechanics, and related topics, as well as hands-on research activities, an applied practicum/internship.
Traineeships that provide tuition support and a stipend are offered to a limited number of full‐time students; qualifications are based on academic record and US residency restrictions. Other forms of support may be available for those who do not meet these restrictions.

Requirements
- Applications are most commonly accepted from individuals with undergraduate degrees in engineering or in the behavioral, biological, or physical sciences.
- OSU’s Graduate School requires a minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 (B) in prior undergraduate and graduate level work for regular admission.
- GRE general test is NOT required for applicants for Spring 2022 and Autumn 2022.
